5 kWMHI Avanti 5kW Split System
The 5kW MHI Avanti Split (model SRK50ZSA-W) is sized for living rooms and master suites. As a guide it suits a typical insulated room of roughly 33 to 40m²; sun exposure and ceiling height move that band. It is the largest capacity in the MHI Avanti Split range. For a smaller, well-insulated room the 3.5kW will do the job for less power draw.
Part of the MHI Avanti WF1 Split range, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries's split system line, in 4 sizes. Running costs below use the Sydney median rate; the Eastern Suburbs and Western Sydney pages cost systems on their own network tariffs. Check the size against your rooms, compare it with other 5 kW options, or ask about supply and installation.
About $332 a year at the current Sydney median electricity rate: $123 of cooling plus $209 of heating, from the official GEMS test figures.
The MHI Avanti 5kW uses 427 kWh annually for cooling and 724 kWh annually for heating under official GEMS testing for Sydney's climate zone. These figures reflect real-world energy consumption in your local conditions. The system achieves a cooling efficiency rating of 3 stars and a heating rating of 2.5 stars on the zoned energy label for Sydney.
Efficiency is measured by AEER for cooling (3.57) and ACOP for heating (3.86). The unit operates on R32 refrigerant. Your actual running costs depend on how often you run the system and your local electricity rate, both of which vary by household and season.
