A multi-head split is usually the best fit: one outdoor unit runs several indoor heads, so you cool the rooms you use without needing roof space or a blank wall for each room. In a renovation with ceiling access, ducted becomes a real option.
Can you install ducted in a terrace or semi?
Sometimes, it depends on ceiling and roof access. In a renovation where the ceiling is open it is often doable; in an untouched terrace there is rarely the cavity for it, and multi-head splits are the practical answer. We assess the actual house before recommending.
Do heritage controls affect where the outdoor unit goes?
They can, especially on a street frontage in a conservation area. We site the outdoor unit discreetly and work within those constraints, and flag anything that may need council or strata sign-off.
