When is a bulkhead better than a wall split?
When you want the wall and ceiling clean: bedrooms where a wall head would intrude, renovations chasing a minimal look, and rooms with no good wall position. The unit hides in a bulkhead and only a slim grille shows.
Does a bulkhead need a big ceiling cavity?
No. These are compact units designed for shallow voids and joinery: far smaller than a whole-home ducted unit.
