Are floor consoles good for heating?
Excellent. Heat is delivered at floor level where it is felt, rather than pooling at the ceiling: which is why consoles are the go-to replacement for ageing gas heaters in cooler rooms.
Where does a console fit?
Low on a wall, under windows, or where attic-style ceilings make high mounting impossible. It needs a power and refrigerant path like any split.
