Smart Thermostat Installation
Turn your air conditioning into a smart, app and voice controlled system you run from your phone. We install Wi-Fi thermostats, manufacturer controllers and zone controllers across Sydney, the Central Coast and Wollongong, and set up scheduling, geofencing and energy monitoring so you stop conditioning empty rooms.
What’s included
How it works
Smart Thermostat Installation, explained.
Control from anywhere
App and voice control, schedules, geofencing and energy monitoring: a smart controller turns set-and-forget into actual savings, especially on zoned ducted systems where rooms can follow your routine.
Works with what you have
We check compatibility with your existing system first: many ducted and split systems take smart controllers or Wi-Fi modules without replacing anything else.
Which controller suits your system
Two routes: a manufacturer controller (the Daikin app, MELCloud, Comfort Cloud) that unlocks your unit's full features, or a retrofit Wi-Fi thermostat that suits a wider range of systems. We match it to your hardware.
Smart zoning vs a single thermostat
On ducted systems, zoning is where the savings sit: condition the rooms in use, leave the rest. A single thermostat still helps, but smart control plus zoning lets the system follow your routine room by room.
Savings in Sydney's climate
Local homes swing between mild and extreme days. Scheduling, geofencing and zoning stop the system running in empty rooms. The savings come from running less, so the setup matters as much as the hardware.

Energy & costsSame size, different bill: what the energy star rating is worth in dollars
At 7 kW, the 2-star and the 4-star wall splits we install are $122 a year apart to run at the Sydney median rate; at 2.5 kW the whole field spans $94. Here is what a star is worth, size by size, from the official figures.

Of the 271 rated models we list, 263 deliver their nameplate capacity in the official GEMS test, so a unit blowing warm air is almost never a weak label. Here is the order a technician works through, and the four checks to do before you call.

MaintenanceAir conditioner leaking water inside: what it means and what to check
A drain line needs a fall of at least 1 in 100, 10 mm per metre, to carry away the water a unit pulls out of humid Sydney air. Here is what a drip inside means, in the order a technician checks it, and the three things to try first.
ReadSmart Thermostat Installation: common questions
Will a smart thermostat work with my existing system?
Often, yes: many systems accept retrofit controllers or manufacturer Wi-Fi modules. We confirm compatibility from your model number before quoting.
Does smart control actually reduce bills?
Used properly, yes: scheduling, geofencing and zone control stop you conditioning empty rooms, which is where most waste lives.
Which platforms do you set up?
Manufacturer apps (like Daikin Mobile Controller, MELCloud, Comfort Cloud, SmartThings and ThinQ) plus Google and Alexa voice control where the hardware supports it: configured and demonstrated before we leave.
How much does a smart thermostat install cost?
It depends on your system and whether you want a single controller or full zoning. We quote a fixed price up front: send your model number and a couple of photos and we will price it by phone or email, no site visit needed.
Do I need a C-wire or common wire?
Some retrofit thermostats need a common (C) wire for constant power. Many ducted and split systems instead use a manufacturer controller or Wi-Fi module that sidesteps this. We check what your system needs before quoting so there are no surprises on the day.
Can you add smart control to a ducted or zoned system?
Yes, and it is where smart control pays off most. Ducted systems often take a manufacturer controller or a smart zone controller. We confirm what your specific system supports from the model number.
Will it still work if the internet drops out?
Yes. Your air conditioner keeps running on its schedule and wall controller. You lose remote app and voice control until the connection is back, but comfort is not affected.
Is the installation covered?
Two layers of cover: the controller and hardware carry the manufacturer's warranty, and our installation work is covered on top by our workmanship guarantee.
